The history of Renault

Even though we've been creating some of the world's best cars for over 100 years, chances are you don't really know a lot about us.

If you follow motor sport, you know we’re one of the world’s leading F1 teams – one of only three teams, in fact, who build and race their own cars.

However, there are a few things you probably didn’t realise.

First, Renault is the number one selling carmaker in Europe. Yes, Renault.

And second, the European car manufacturer with one of the world’s best safety credentials is, again, Renault: eleven cars awarded with the maximum 5 star safety rating from Euro NCAP, that’s more than Toyota, Honda and Mazda combined. Renault and Australia

With the Renault-Nissan Alliance established on March 27, 1999, Renault has drawn on Nissan’s strengths to distribute Renault vehicles in the Asia Pacific markets to extend its presence in Australia, Japan, Taiwan, Indonesia and Malaysia. 


Peter Warren Renault opened in March 2009 and is located with in Peter Warren Automotive’s Sydney Auto World at Warwick Farm.
